Going on a donair run
Original: 16" x 20", Acrylic on gallery wrapped stretched canvas
This painting was also started as part of the "Cityscape" class that I took with Charlotte Marble through NSCAD's Extended studies. I've wanted to paint a rainy night scene for a long time but as I'm not often out walking on rainy nights or I'm driving and obviously can't take pictures, it was a great opportunity to paint this scene of Tony's Donair on Robie and Chebucto. Funny though, it was after I painted the fire hydrant that I realized I may be responsible if that that car gets a parking ticket... I almost decided to paint one in... 😂
