Looking for my glasses along the Annapolis Basin
Original: 10" x 10", Acrylic on gallery wrapped stretched canvas
This painting was inspired during the Paint the town Annapolis Royal plein air festival and was painting mostly with my glasses off. As many of us, I need glasses to get around. Sometimes though, I try to remind myself how my very much less than 20-20 vision also allows me to see things differently. For example, the beauty of the fuzzy lights of a Christmas tree? So I wondered about looking more carefully at a "regular" landscape without my glasses. Sometimes, a looser painting is actually harder than one with all the details so trying to use what you actually see as a reference might help. To be tried again.
