Sanddollar deconstruction

Sanddollar deconstruction

8" x 10"
Acrylic and sanddollar on framed masonite board

At a mixed media workshop, I decided to see what I could do with some sanddollars I had gathered scuba diving last year.

I must admit, at first I didn't like this painting but I realized it was because I didn't like seeing the brushstrokes.  Finally, I just grabbed some sponges and smudged it all.  Love it now!  I also love the Prussian blue paint.

Art cards and prints available.
