Purple shades of yellow daisies

This painting was inspired by a picture I took a couple years ago from the Halifax public gardens.
I'm taking a fun class at NSCAD Extended Studies on the colour theory. The exercise was to use a primary colour (yellow in this case) and a secondary colour (a purple which I mixed using red and blue). I had totally forgotten all the colors you can make with just the primary colours! Looking forward to trying other combinations!
